There are four wolves, so it really should just take a little coordination amongst everyone else to counteract the votes stacking that way . . . we didn't have that last round, and lost two sheep for it.

[looks a little uncomfortable at the second question, and his answer is a little more abrupt]

I'd tell him. I'm not lying to Geir for a game, all right?

You really expect coordination out of the sheep? The wolves, 'less I understood the rules wrong, know who they're workin' with, but the sheep don't have the foggiest of who's on their team. Working together would take a whole lot of blind trust, or some very calculated risks at this point.

[He shrugs.] And to calculate something, you gotta know the numbers you're workin' with.

[There's something almost sympathetic in his expression for a moment, but he shutters it away quickly behind a bland stare.]

Not a comfortable thing to think about, huh? I just got one more and then I'll let ya' have at me in return: reverse that, would you trust him to tell you he was a wolf?

It's not really trust I'm thinking of, just some common sense. If votes are going up on random people very fast with no obvious reasoning -- at least Magilou was openly acting suspicious -- then people should think about that. If people aren't owning up to those seemingly random votes as well -- only Margaret stated any actual reasoning for removing miss Naho, when I asked the group -- then that is telling as well.

I think Geir would tell me; he doesn't much like lying to me either. It would make for a very interesting game if a wolf and sheep were coordinating that way, I suppose, but we're not.

Fair, but it don't mean the rest can do a damn thing about it. A smart wolf is probably gonna push the timing--make sure it's too late to change votes by the time they pile on theirs and have a half-decent reason thought up for it.

Since you'll probably ask that first: I'll admit to voting for that entertainer chick mostly because I thought she'd be a distraction and she got on my nerves. Still a toss up whether she's found a unique defense or is actually sheep. And after the debacle with the Naho girl, the sheep can't afford to make more mistakes.

On the flip side, a pair of sheep that can really trust each other when they say "I'm a sheep" could make a damn good team to work with.

But that's all I had for questions. What've you got for me?

Ugh, that's true.

One of my questions was 'how did you vote' -- did you also vote for Magilou on the first day? The other was, do you know any of the other players, and if so, have they acted out of the ordinary? I suppose that's it.

Yeah. That one was purely because she got on my nerves. I ain't surprised I got a few that first day; like I said, I sure as hell ain't gonna play nice for a game.

And no, I'm meeting you all for the first time. Shame we couldn't find any cards; poker's a good way to tell who's good at bluffin'.

I tried for a drinking game, but there's only so much of that I can take, even if it's good alcohol.

Good talk. I suppose we'll see if more votes appear or move at the last moment.

Drunk confessions aren't a bad way to go. Guess you didn't get any takers either, huh?

Probably smart of the wolves to stay away from both.

[He sees no reason to hide that he talked to both, seeing as they'll probably compare notes about him later.]

I haven't really seen that person around much since day one, though I suppose they could be doing private talks.

It looks like your vote wound up breaking the tie for good. Let's see how this pans out.
